Explosion proof fibers are efficient drying additives for refractory castables as they can reduce the risks of explosion during the first heat-up. The fibers are mixed with other refractories evenly. When fibers are melted, they begin to soften, shrink, melt, carbonize and finally form pores. They form tiny network distributed within the construction body, with which can open up water and gas channels, reduce internal pressure and prevent explosions.
Explosion proof fiber is suitable for various loose materials such as refractory coatings, castables, iron trench materials, self flowing materials, spray repair materials, plastic materials, ramming materials, unburned bricks, blast furnace mud, concrete, prefabricated parts and other amorphous refractory materials with the below performances:
1) Strength improvement including tensile resistance, impact resistance.
2) Drainage,exhaust,anti-cracking and anti-explosion
3) Shortening the drying cycle and simplifying the heating process.
Our company product has below advantages:
- Low melt point: it can be melted at 105ºC which can form pores at early stage to depressurize
- High dispersion: Uneven distribution can lead to local excessive pressure, causing explosions. Our product can achieve independent dispersion of each fiber, without sticking together.
- Diameter of 30μm: Smaller fiber can have more strength to withstand thermal shock and minimize the damage to the construction body.
- Hollow-core structure: Hollow-core can help to drain water out. It can also store oxygen inside to accelerate carbonization and decomposition.
